SINGAPORE DAY1 - part 3

WALKING I.A. SERIES 001
MISSION: SPOT & JUST SNAP!
TARGET: BUILDING STRUCTURES

Most of the exterior seating are for coffee shop at Singapore have transparent roofing.
Good to have nature daylight.

COLOUR!
This building structure looks like old time building.
But with colours, it looks MODERN!

Street art!
Attractive colours!

Are you lost around Clarke Quay??
Find the question MARKs!

People will not notice the old design buildings
Until it is COLOURED!

I kind of like this Shading Device.
It provides daylight and also shading
2-in-1

Rustic design of shading device.
Huge and nice.

After a long walking journey around Clarke Quay, we finally found what we had been looking for.
THE CITY @ Liang Court
It is a kid's HEAVAN!
My dream land when I was a kid!
The wall is full of colourful wallpaper.
So lovely.

There are various space with colourful exterior wall but a plain interior wall.
The reason of having a plain interior wall is to let kids concentrate more on working and learning.
Parents are encouraged to have interaction with kids in this playground.
This is a barber area where kids can play with hairstyle
Kids can act as a doctor in this dream land~
Everything in this space is sooooo mini~
Adorable!

Mini restaurant.
Cik, nak order apa?
xD

Mini furniture
Suite kids~
 Here we are!
Kid's mini HYPERMARKET!
Mini fruit stall
 FOOD!
Kids can just grab anything they like and "pay"
All these are recycled food package and container.
 Are you ready for SHOPPING?!
Sooooo Cute~
Mini trolley~

Hmm, let me see what should I buy~

We turn into kids too once we step into this fantastic world.

You like counting money?
Here you go~
Be a little cashier ^~^
Since it is a KID'S world
Every furniture is in a fine dimension for kids~

I just can't stop wondering around in this
THE CITY
So happy to see kids playing around in such comfortable and wonderful space!

SINGAPORE DAY1 - part 2

WALKING I.A. SERIES 001
MISSION: SPOT & JUST SNAP!
TARGET: BUILDING STRUCTURES

SPOTTED! An art work by the artist Ernest Zacharevic.
It is so awesome! nice art work!

 LASALLE college of the arts.
The facade itself is so ART.
I wish I could have a study environment like this too *^~^*

This building structure is so bold and rigid.
By looking at it, I can feel WEIGHT!
So bold.

While I am waiting to cross a road,
I found something interesting on this tall and clean cut flat.
LOOK! The elevator is exposed!
The mechanism of the transportation can be seen from outside.
I wonder what is the feeling of riding it.
xD

From far,I saw bushes of tree.
Focus at the building.
PARK ROYAL!
AWESOME!
Hanging garden! It's just too awesome!
The green design blend in with the glass structure which reflect the sky.
I can't take my eyes off it!
Another building next to it looks alike with it.
The big cuboid structure is supported by thin piers and a central column.
It give me a feel of floating cuboid.

Instead of building a cube, this building structure is like 2 clustered cube.
The facade is also different.
One is netted and the other is in grid.
I can feel interlocking of two space.

In this row of building, that brown structure caught my attention!
Let's have a closer look.
The entrance is a cuboid and the main building structure is a subtraction of cuboid.
It reminds me about me about the design principles.

Octagon building structure.
I would like to see it's interior!
How is the space divided? Is it like how we cut a cake?

Adding a few vertical elements,
makes the boring glass facade looks more attractive.
This shopping complex have a wide space at the entrance.
It makes us feel that the building is HUGE!
By having a wide space at the entrance,
there is a skylight.
Make use of natural lighting to reduce usage of artificial lighting.
Another skylight in circle.
It creates a shading device which also a lighting device during day time.

Rear elevation of the building

to be continue...

SINGAPORE DAY 1 - part 1

TADA! We take our flight at around 7.30am
And we reached Changi Airport around 9.00am safely

Singapore Changi Airport is a very interesting airport.
It has many interior features and activity for tourist to experience while waiting for flight.

This is one of the activity I spotted!
It's call SLIDE. It's so cool!
Compared to old time airport which just provide a stage for people to aboard,
Changi Airport provided a playground too!
On the way walking to the MRT station, a cubical structure has caught my eyes attention.

 It's the Crowne Plaza.
The design f the facade is very interesting.
It looks like flower. A very organic shape.
So delicate.

There is a lot of green design in the airport.
Transparent roof and wall is used to get natural sunlight.
A long and curvy path design which creates a space underneath it.
Here we are! Buying MRT ticket to head forward our hostel.

Bunc@rRadius, Little India Upper weld Road
Backpacker Hostel!
Reception area, we are gathering for outing.

There is a Pantry and Washing Machine for user.

 A gathering space.
Computer for user to stay connected with friends and family oversea.
Creative way to show activities provided by the Hostel.

Long dining table for breakfast ^~^
Found an interesting pot.
Made by recycle paper.

This is our bedroom.
Although we are eight people in a room, we have our own privacy space.

After reaching our hostel.
We went out and
START
our exploration around Singapore City!
